Item Description

Northwest Native American themed limited edition silkscreen/serigraph by Arthur Vickers featuring a glowing sunset and an image of a Native American stylized salmon in the sky. The salmon image is very subtle and is almost an optical illusion. Look closely at the photos. Titled “Legacy” lower center. Signed lower right. Limited edition 67/85 lower left. Unframed. Unmatted. Includes Certificate of Authenticity (production date 1997) and a bio. Image 23" x 19." Paper size 28" x 22." See photos. Note that the piece will be rolled for shipping.

Arthur Vickers (b 1947, Canadian), was born in Vancouver to a mother of English and Canadian ancestry and a father of Tsimshian and Heiltsuk lineage. He spent his childhood in the Tsimshian village of Kitkatla, where he spent much time with his grandfather, a fisherman and canoe carver. Vickers had dual careers in the building industry and as an artist. His works blend Native American and western artistic traditions in carvings, original paintings, sketches and limited edition serigraphs (silkscreens).
